What is Crew? Crew is an audition-based program designed for dedicated AngelStreet members who demonstrate outstanding musical ability, commitment, and leadership potential. More than just a choir, Crew members represent the highest level of artistry within AngelStreet, performing at a greater number of events—from local community gatherings to prestigious concert venues. Their presence not only showcases their talent but also serves as an inspiration to younger members, reinforcing the values of confidence, sisterhood, and excellence in music.
The Pathway to Excellence: Crew Elite & Crew University
Within Crew, members have opportunities to grow even further through Crew Elite—a specialized ensemble providing deeper artistic development and an even more intensive performance schedule. Led by Deonna Sirod, Crew Elite pushes young artists beyond their comfort zones, preparing them for professional-level music experiences.
Participation in Crew doesn’t stop during the school year. Through a structured application process, Crew members can apply for Crew University, our four-week summer program designed to take their training to the next level. Crew University not only offers immersive musical experiences but also provides participants with summer income—aligning with our commitment to fostering financial empowerment. More than just a performance-based program, Crew University seeks to close the gender gap in the music industry by equipping young women with the industry knowledge and skills they need to succeed.
